Dear friends

Warm greetings in the name of Christ our risen Lord and Saviour.

I write this letter the day after our Palm Sunday services of worship. I think we enjoyed a lovely day of worship together yesterday. The All-Age Café Church Palm Sunday celebration was just an amazing blessing. The All-Age Café Church has quickly become our best attended act of worship. It was wonderful to witness the children leading worship through action song, prayers, readings and puppetry. The service was well supported by parents, and our very own Jubilate were in great voice. We really do have something to build on as a Church and one of my greatest joys at the moment is being Chaplain to our BB Company.

I praise God for the way the children express their faith and trust in Jesus. Many of our members also witnessed faith and joy in children at our Experience Easter Event. 120 children from two local schools learned all about the treasures of Holy Week. It was a blessed time. Is it any wonder that Jesus said that unless we “receive the Kingdom like a little child, we will not enter it.” Their humble trust is to be copied not discouraged.

Sunday worship can still be accessed through Zoom. It is important that those unable to be physically present with us have this online opportunity to join us in worship. I really wish that many of our members could have joined in that last All-Age Café Church – perhaps by using Zoom. I’m sure it would have uplifted you and greatly inspired your hopes about the future of Christchurch.

Soon it will be time for our much awaited and anticipated Flower Festival. What a great opportunity to invite people into our Church and experience

something extremely special. Who will you invite? Who will you bring along? We have some very talented flower arrangers at Christchurch and I am sure they will excel again this year. A warm welcome awaits all who come through our doors for this spiritual and visual spectacle. Let’s pray for its success. A creation theme will inspire the event this year.

Quite a few of you have recently purchased a copy of the Ffald Y Brenin daily rhythm of prayer booklet. There are still some left if anybody has missed out.

They are just £2.00. Please use such tools to build up your faith and pray for the life and mission of our Church. This booklet speaks about using a prayer of blessing which may be used to bless your local community. I have written a prayer of blessing for you all to use alongside the LYCIG prayer and other prayers you use at home. I hope you find the prayer of blessing helpful. It is inside this edition of Chronicle. Such prayers can really be transformational and empowering in terms of healing and hope. Let us bless others in the name of Christ and let us be channels of blessing in our local community.

May the peace of Christ fill your hearts and minds. Enjoy the month of May. God bless each one of you.

With love and prayers in Christ.

Peter
