A HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE FROM CHRISTCHURCH ABBEYDALE

Christmas Cards
When you dispose of your Christmas Cards in the New Year, Kathy would be happy to take them from you at Church and deliver them to the Cobalt Centre in Cheltenham, where they can be upcycled to benefit the charity.

Stamps
At this time of year when you receive so many greetings cards, please could you cut around any stamps you have, bring them to Church and put them in the box in the vestibule. They are used to raise money for a hospice that helps people affected by life-long health conditions.
Keep Fit
Please note there will be no keep fit sessions at the church in December. Normal arrangements will resume in January.
Church Diary 2026
The CHURCH DIARY FOR 2026 is now available in the office. If you are planning any regular or occasional events for the new year, please enter the dates and times you would like in the new diary and inform Peter, our bookings officer.

Harvest Festival (UPDATE)
On Sunday 5th October we celebrated our Harvest Festival and Gift Day. All donated food items were delivered to the Gloucester Foodbank and a total of 93.45 kg of food was given to them by Christchurch Abbeydale. The Gloucester Foodbank has been operating since 2005, and over just the last five years it has seen the number of food parcels it provides doubling to more than 17,000. The new manager of the Foodbank has said that she is surprised at the very high level of demand that now exists for its help.

An Award For Chronicle
On Sept 20, Lesley, our Chronicle editor, attended the AGM of the Association for Church Editors where she was awarded a Certificate of Excellence for her work on the Christchurch Monthly Magazine which we call the Chronicle. Well done Lesley. It is nice to know that all your hard work is appreciated and has been recognised.
Card Machine
Do you often find yourself without cash when in Church? We have now set up the card machine to accept small donations for Sunday coffee and biscuits. As the cost of coffee in particular has increased significantly of late, we encourage those who tend not to carry cash to make use of this facility as often as possible. Thank you.
