Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Jesus Christ.
(1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18)
Before Prayer changes others, it first changes us.
(Billy Graham)
This week we pray for those who lead Christchurch, our minister and members of the Church Council; we ask for God’s blessing on Peter and Julia as they look ahead to a well-earned holiday.
We pray for our pastoral contacts as they meet in Church on Monday, thanking God for their care and all the valuable work they do. We give special thanks for all that Audrey has achieved in leading this important team and we pray for Christine as she prepares to take on this role in our fellowship.
We bring before God all groups which will meet in Christchurch this week, in particular those who will be attending Little Angels, our Wednesday Communion service and the Yellow Rose Café. We also pray for those who hire our facilities, including Wiz Kidz.
At a time of international tension, we pray too for our government, all those who take difficult decisions and all who serve under the King.
We continue our cycle of prayer for all who live in Abbeydale and Abbeymead, especially those with homes in Snowdrop Close, Spartan Close and Speedwell Close.
