Prayer Life

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Jesus Christ.
(1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18)

Before Prayer changes others, it first changes us.
(Billy Graham)

This week we are praying for:
– Those who serve on our Church Council;
– The many others who help our Church run smoothly by
volunteering for slots on our duty rotas or helping with
various groups and activities;
– The Methodist Church Conference week;
– All who work on our behalf in national security;
– Merchant Seafarers;
– Those who work in NHS hospitals.

We continue to pray for all families in Abbeydale and Abbeymead,
especially those who live in Calderdale, Camomile Close and
Carwardine Field.

.Gloucester Foodbank
We would also like to pray for the Gloucester Foodbank. A very special event took place at the weekend for their  20th anniversary campaign fundraiser. A team of their dedicated volunteers climbed Mount Snowdon to raise crucial funds for our charity.

This climb is more than a challenge—it’s a symbol of the daily uphill battles many in our community face. As we mark two decades of serving those in crisis, we’re praying that this effort inspires support, raises awareness, and brings in vital donations to help us continue feeding families in need across Gloucester.

We would be deeply grateful for your prayers for:

  • The safety, strength, and health of the volunteers making the climb
  • Generous support through donations and sharing of our campaign
  • Continued provision and encouragement for those we serve every day

As it says in Galatians 6:9 – “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
