Prayer Life

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Jesus Christ.
(1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18)

Before Prayer changes others, it first changes us.
(Billy Graham)

This week we are asked to pray for teachers, social workers, therapists, doctors and nurses who work with children who have special physical or mental needs.

Within our Church we pray for the meeting of the Abbeydale Joint Council on Tuesday, giving thanks for the support Christchurch receives from each of our denominational leaders.

In the wider world, we pray for tea producers and those responsible for implementing fair trade procedures, for governments and farmers who have the task of regulating pesticides that are harmful to wildlife, especially bees, and for the Leprosy Mission and other medical charities working in India and Nepal, where many hospitals were damaged by last year’s earthquakes.

We continue our cycle of prayer for all who live in Abbeydale and Abbeymead, especially those with homes in The Hazels, The Larches, The Maples, The Oaks and The Plantation.
