Operation Christmas Child is a project managed by Samaritan’s Purse. Shoeboxes are filled with toys, personal care items, school supplies and fun gifts which are distributed to children around the world. The mission of Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world.

Christchurch Abbeydale is proud to support Operation Christmas Child, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations. Below are some of the ways that the members Christchurch Abbeydale and the local community can support the project at a local level.

NEWS AND EVENTS
The Community Packing Day on 1st November was very well attended. Approximately 200 boxes were filled. There will be a lot of very happy children receiving boxes that have been packed with love and care. It is great to see the local community so actively involved and to receive them into the church building. A total of 574 shoeboxes were blessed at the church during a special service on 17 November, of which 312 were donated by Christchurch. After the service, they were then packed onto a van ready to be taken to a central warehouse in Coventry for processing.

On behalf of the children, A BIG THANK YOU to all involved.

Latest News:
All shoebox collections have now been completed in Gloucestershire and they have all been delivered to Coventry awaiting processing and eventual delivery to destinations across Europe and beyond.
